Recently completed is this in-house project from Freestyle Collective as a collaborative effort from Art Director Brian Drucker and animators, Christina Sidoti, Damien Cho, and Entae Kim, under the creative direction of Victor Newman. Taking 3 months to complete due to the vast number of models that had to be managed, “There were actually about three to four hundred flowers in the opening shot alone that we had to model and animate.” adds lead animator Entae Kim.

Created in partnership between Nathan Love and Perspective Studios, this animated trailer called “Blood Trail” is currently being shopped to be turned into a feature film, videogame or graphic novel. The three-minute trailer comes from writer Matt Cochran’s screenplay of the same name.  If you haven’t watched it yet, be forewarned it’s pretty explicit in its graphic portrayal of violence.

“Photo-real slapstick dinosaur” is not a phrase (or brief) you hear often butSmoke & Mirrors NY rise to the occasion producing these prehistoric pratfalls and pirouettes for the Denver Museum of Nature & Science via their recently ramped-up 3D department. Live-action plates were shot in Central Park, with the Manhattan skyline replaced with the Denver Museum area.

From director Chris Delaporte of WIZZdesign in Paris, here’s the latest trailer for the Wii video game release Red Steel 2. According to our source at Wizz the CG they created needed to be impressive without betraying the universe of the game and the capacities of the Wii (in other words they were limited to keeping the polygone count low and sticking with cell-shading).
